Creative Writing



I couldn’t believe my eyes, I was walking by the river when I saw a truck in the river. There were whale sharks and trees in the river as well. The whales were following the truck and the trees down the river out to the sea. The whales saw Alex and me in the river and they tried to eat us but they thought we were cute and tried to smooch us. They went away and followed the truck and the trees down the river again. A Great White Shark and a Hammer Head appeared. The Great White Shark came close and we jumped out the river and sprinted home, got dry and went back the next day. The sharks were still there and they were more of them coming into the river. We told the whole town not to go near the river but some people didn't listen. They were jumping off the bridge and some of them were dying. The river got crowded with sharks and whales including sea creatures and octopuses. I realized I was in a dream a big dream and my dream came true. I felt terrified. It was weird. “Morning mum,” I said, after mum called out to me for breakfast Yummy.  Image result for whale shark

Gymnastics Sessions

Every Tuesday we have gymnastics and we walk down to the Boys & Girls Gym Club. When we get there we take our shoes and socks off. We jump on the bouncy floor and wait for the instructions  and then we get the four senior leaders to stand up and Kelly gets us into groups. Groups go to the air track and do forward roles and jump into the pit. We do roles on the poles my favourite part is the air track. The other courses have the tramp and the big big tramp.

Lets go to the zoo, on the way there we saw a giraffe and the giraffe's head is in a tree. When we got to the car park we walked through the zoo, we saw an octopus and the octopus inked him self away. When we went home we saw an octopus in the drive way, we took him back to the zoo and he is now in a good home playing with other octopus's, the squid's and the sharks.

Once there was a fierce furry ferret. He lived in a massive mean marshmallow shaped as a tree. All he did was eat his tree but one day a gigantic ginormous giant ate his tree. The fierce ferry ferret ran away and never came BACK!!!

Procedure

Water experience

What you need/meteirls:
A medium size bowl
Glad wrap
Mug
String/rubber band
Water

Steps
Put the water in the medium size bowl and full half way.
Put the mug up the right way your bowl.
Put the glad wrap over the bowl and seal it so know air can in with string/Rubber band.
Put the bowl in sun and wait and observe.

I predict that the water will turn into water vapour and turn cool down.
My predict was incorrect.

The sun heated the water and it evaporated up towards the glad wrap.

Condensation formed on the glad wrap. When the water vapour became heavy it dropped into the cup, like rain. (precipitation)

Weekly Reflection T2W9

What: Last week Room 14 played a game of German ball with us, Room 1 & 2. Of course we won because we have more people but they had Purere and Kaleb. We still won. Also last week we did art and for art we did buildings and we put patterns on the buildings. I did stars and circles and hearts and heaps of patterns. Last week went to rooms and did our house chant and song. Our song has my mums name in it.

So what: I have learned that my mum is famous because she is in our chant.

Now what:  I have not achieved my goal by slowing down in my reading. I will keep working on that.

T2W7 Weekly Recflition

What: Last week we did a Toondoo about Maori farewells which is good bye. First we made the Toondoo and Toondoo is when we chose a type or square. It could be a three square and any type of square. Next we made our Toondoo and after we had made our Toondoo we went to a teacher and showed the teacher and then put it on our blog. Also last week we did Technology and now I am in AMAZING!!! Miss Morris' group. Her group is cooking and we made a food pyramid and it had eat most, eat sometimes and eat least. Last week we carried on with our houses and we put patterns on our houses and that was so fun. Mine is improving.

So What: I have leaned how make a food pyramid and what to eat and what to eat.

Now What: I have not achieved my goal by slowing down in my reading.

Straw House

Two day ago in He Puna Hangahanga we got spit up in groups to consruct a straw building. I was with Seth, Davante', Alex and Ricky. We got some straws and a block of Blu Tack. We had 15 minutes to make a structurally sound house or building. Our structure was not structurally sound because we didn't have a plan it didn't ever get made because some of our group was not helping us make it.  Our building was not complete.

Weekly Recflition T2W5

What: Last week we played a game of German Ball ageist Room 14  I think we one again. Also last week we had Mrs Palmer  for the whole week not just for Thursday and Friday because Mrs Larsen was showing all the visitors around the Carlton school. We did what a friend needs to be to be a friend.

So what: I have learned that Room 1 and 2 are better at German Ball than Room 14.

Now what: I have not achieved my goal by slowing down in my reading.

The Tail Of The The Gecko

THE TAIL OF THE GECKO
The Gecko is very very fast.

If a prey of the Gecko grabs on to its tail the tail can fall off and by the time the prey notices the Gecko is gone.

The Gecko's tail helps the Gecko climb up trees and if he doesn't have a tail he can't climb up that well.

The Gecko's tail is stored with fat.

Weekly Recflition T2W4

What: Last week Wanganui City College students came to Carlton School and they talked about all the activities that we could do if we went there. They have a programme there that is a military academy . For technology last week  we did sewing and we didn't get to do much because so many people in our group needed to sew so we did Tinkercad and we could make a house. 

So What: I learned more about how to make a house in Tinkercad.

So what: I have not achieved my goal by slowing down in my reading. I will keep working on this.

Can I use full stops, question marks, and exclamation marks to end a sentence?

I was walking through the forest and BANG!!! I think it might be a lion that pushed down a branch of maybe even a whole tree. I had a friend next to me and he said ''Do you know what that was?'' I said '' Maybe a lion pushing down branch of tree. So we kept walking and another BANG!!! This time it was louder!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I see a BIG BIG BIG grey and black... It was a hippopotamus. It was pushing down trees and trees. There was so many trees down.

Weekly Reflection W2T2

What: Last week we did technology and I was doing sewing with amazing Miss Mc Avoy. First we got to chose a martial and I chose blue. Then we wrote our name on it with a sharpie and after that we got  a pin and then pined our name to anther piece of martial. After that we sowed it to the big piece of martial and then we were done. Also last week we did writing experience and that is  if I was in war what I would do and I wrote about Gallipoli at war.

Now What:  I have learnt have how to sew.

So what: I have not achieved my goal by slowing down in my reading. I will keep working on this.

Wheekly Reflition T2W2

What: Last week we did a Queen of the day story. I wrote about my mum. The queen of the day is when you chose a female family member and write about why the should be the queen of the day. Also we did a writing experience and we wrote about war and what we would do if we were in war. Also we played blob tag. Blob tag is a game when two people are in and they don't have to link. When they tag someone, they have to link arms  and when four people are linked, they split in half so two groups were in and I nearly made in through.

So What: I have learned how to play blob tag and what I would do in war.

Weekly Reflection T2W1

What: Broom Broom!! Off we drove to Alex's house. Alex, Pip and me drove to Rotorua. On the first day we stayed at blue lake. The next day we drove to skyline and went up in a Gondola to go up to the top of the hill. When we got there we got in a go cart and went down the hill. There were three levels, scenic, intermediate and advanced. After that we went again but this time we went up in a chair seat. After we had two turns we had lunch. After lunch we had three more turns. I mainly went on the advanced track. After that Pip and me went on the big swing. It goes 150mph.

So What: I have learnt that there is a top 10 holiday park at Blue Lake.

Now what: My goal is to slow down with my reading.

Week 10 Reflection T1

What: Last week we walked into the hall for Duffy assembly and there was someone standing in the hall. His name is Mr Mack. He told use about his life from when he was five. He could not wait till the weekend to go out with his dad. When he was about seventeen he wanted to be a Machine driver. Mr Mack was in a big car crash and it changed his memory  and he wrote a book about Dug the digger. Also last week I did the swimathon and I did 41 laps and someone in our class did 66 laps. We did a Maori cross word and it had all the feelings and it was really hard because I didn't know all the words.

So What: I learnt that  I could do 41 laps in the Carlton School pool.

Now What: I have achieved my goal by not fiddling with things on the mat. My new goal is to not get sent out side.

Weekly Reflection T1W8

What: Last week we did building art. For building art we drew lines up and down with chalk and when we had finished that  showed the teacher. The next step was when we did lines across the buildings and then we again showed the teacher. Then we colored them with pastels and once we had finished that the teacher rubbed out the chalk and then we got a white pastel and did the lines in pastel. We also went swimming in our pool and we are in  groups and my group went  first. There was freestyle breaststroke and gliding.We also got split up into classes and Micheal and I went to Room 5/6 and I got heaps of my work done.

So what: I learned  how to do building art and more about swimming.

Now what: I have not achieved my goal by not to fiddle with things when I am on the mat.
